She Who Dares in Print
I’m currently writing a book about She Who Dares. A work of creative non-fiction about ordinary women with exceptional pastimes - that’s you! So far I’ve approached Punk Publishing, Haus and Pesda Press (Pesda are based in Caernarfon, near Morfa Bay activity centre, where we go for our annual trip). All are publishing houses for adventure and outdoors books. She Who Dares is a unique book, part personal anecdote, part guide, and part travel, from the perspective of a non-expert, celebrating our camaraderie. If anyone knows of a publisher who may be interested, please let me know. If we don’t get a publisher by the end of the year we will look into self publishing.
However, interest is brewing! I have written to Zest and Red magazine with proposals for articles and a new local magazine – MWAAH, has interviewed us. We’ll be in the April issue, more details to follow. CM17 on line magazine will also be running a piece I’ve written next month.
Look out for more updates by email, on this site, or on our Facebook page – She Who Dares or Jools Dares.
Thanks, Julie
Morfa Bay was brilliant
Fabulous weather, fun and frolicks in South Wales. fifteen of us went this year, and a great time was had by all. Coasteering in lively seas, zip wires, "She Who Dares Got Talent" on the high ropes, mountain biking, exhilarating land yachting, sea kayaking and surf skiiing, plus some lovely food and drink.

Open Day Success
The open day held at Harlow Outdoors on Wednesday 11th March was a fantastic success. There were 24 new faces, some of whom had reappeared from the past! Everyone had a great morning, met friends old and new, enjoyed the activities and ate a tasty lunch. Many have already booked to come again.
Adriana took a series of lovely photos. Click on the link below to see if you can spot yourself!

Grassroots Grants Funding
She Who Dares have won over £4500 from Grassroots Grants, which is funded by the Office of the Third Sector.
Some of the money was used to hold an open morning at Harlow Outdoors to encourage new members to join the group. We want to encourage more local women to participate in activities that are good for their physical and mental wellbeing
The remaining money was spent on equipment and training which will benefit the whole group.
